Art Sale Fundraiser

Raising money to obtain a Dutch visa and establish safe base in the Netherlands

I have been living undocumented since moving from Berlin to Amsterdam and have since obtained an immigration attorney to professionally guide me to visa-protected legal status. I am committed to obtaining my visa from the Netherlands to align myself with safety, mental/physical healthcare, legal ability to be hired for jobs to subsidize my creative work, and access to art and cultural grants in the Netherlands.

I am reaching out to you to help raise money, be connected with curators, connected with collectors, and/or connected with organizations or opportunities that can help me, a black queer creative, safely immigrate and achieve a solid foundation to nurture the grow my life in the EU/Netherlands with access to substantial and necessary resources.

I want to create quality large-scale installations, sculptures, and empathy-building experiences for everyone (and especially soft moments and celebratory moments for queer and struggling black youth, peers, and elders). I need my freedom to move around the EU legally and safely so I can pursue and follow opportunities and interests freely as they call (most recently MMK Frankfurt). I also want to secure a therapist and chiropractor to help greatly improve my daily life and align with greater success from the inside out.

I have organized a fundraiser through Gofundme to help me achieve the financial requirements to obtain my visa. I know with the help of my network I can reach safety with a visa and working papers, as well as continue to reach people through my work and performances. I was recently featured by SLEEK magazine in print and was sponsored by UGG to perform within Berlin Art week 2021. It is 2022 and I am excited to realize public temporary and permanent installations for the Netherlands and private artworks for galleries, museums, and collectors. I am getting my hands dirty and exploring all I can safely and freely in this country and across (beyond) the EU.
